  • I have had chronic neck and shoulder pain for months and it got so bad that I felt I had no quality of life and minimal mobility. I did two months of research trying to find a good physical therapist. I was referred to Foundation Physical Therapy by a trusted physical therapist in San Diego. In the few short weeks that I have been seeing Akanksha my quality of life and my general out look for the future has greatly improved. Akanksha is kind, well educated, very patient centered and has made a huge difference in my well being. I cannot recommend her enough!

  • Akanksha has helped me tremendously with migraine management. I was suffering from debilitating migraines that were coming on more frequently since having children. After years of trying everything - chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, exercise, stretching and lots of Advil... I have really found a rhythm in body work with her. I actually often count down the days until my next treatment, as I know I will feel so much better after seeing her. Whether I have had a mild headache or did a work out too hard or incorrectly - I know that seeing her will help. I never feel rushed out, I never feel dismissed. Akanksha really takes the time to understand what is going on and then working to see how she can help.

  • I wish I had found Akanksha years ago. She has been the key to my recovery and I can ease back into running after a few months. I've been unable to for years, no matter how many squats or strengthening. Not only does she listen, she also genuinely cares and tries to solve a puzzle. She takes time to do a thorough assessment, manipulates and comes up with the right set of exercises. I have always felt heard, never dismissed. Pain or discomfort are clues she uses to solve a problem. I am grateful for her care and always look forward to appointments. I feel like I'm I very good hands and am comfortable am asking all the questions I have.

  • Akansha is a smart, intuitive, challenging, and compassionate physical therapist. I can't say enough about her! I recently had a successful left hip replacement, but I had concerns about a post-op "clicking noise" in that hip. Akansha was my third physical therapist, and I'm so grateful I found her! She listened, understood, and addressed my concerns, and she designed a "challenging" workout plan for me. I take physical therapy very seriously and Akansha, a soft-spoken person, gently pushed me to my limits with wonderful results. I appreciate your guidance and inspiration in my journey back to recovery, Akansha, and I would highly recommend you to anyone seeking physical therapy.

  • Akanksha is really the best PTs I've been to. She doesn't just treat the issue where it is problematic but evaluates the entire system and finds the source of imbalance, weakness, or reduced flexibility. This has provided a better long term resolution for my pain and discomfort. She progresses the treatment and exercise plan at each treatment and clearly articulates the purpose of the exercise and where I should feel it the most. She is very patient, attentive, and really listens to what I have to report at the beginning of each session. In addition to having expertise and great communication skills, she stands out in how she manages her time during the treatment. There is not time wasted sitting on a hot pack or ice pack while she's doing something else. The entire time is spent on interaction while maximizing the treatment time with me. I am so thankful I have Akanksha as my PT. I give her the highest recommendation for her outstanding skill and compassion.

  • Akanksha is a fantastic physical therapist. Unlike larger clinics, you have her complete focus and care throughout your session. She is thorough and practical in her approach, willing to think outside the box. She helped determine the root cause of sustained motion sickness I was experiencing and developed a care plan that eliminated the symptoms. Plus, she provided great whole body feedback to keep me running and biking for a long time. Thanks, Akanksha!

  • I needed physical therapy on my thumb joint, back, and knee due to chronic pain. It was getting extremely painful to sleep and move. Most days I struggle and rely on a cane to help assist me. I’ve been seeing Akhansha with Foundation Physical Therapy for months now; each passing day I’ve gained more mobility. She is caring, professional and knowledgeable about pain relief. She runs her appointments timely, text reminder appointments, and she also helps with setting up the insurance superbills! No hassle or headache, just straightforward patient care. I highly recommend her if you are in need for physical therapy. Seek PT before surgery. You will have a pleasant recovery experience.

  • I have been working with Akanksha since Aug 2023 to treat arthritis in my left hip & a strained right rotator cuff injury. I really trust her knowledge, advice & guidance in helping me to work through my issues. Very thorough in explaining what we are doing in strengthening the muscles & working on improving mobility in the joints. She’s also very personable, so easy to talk to!

  • I've been working with Akanksha for several months on my lower back L5/S1 bulged disc issue and I highly recommend her. She took the time to assess not only my lower back but my entire body posture. She focuses on strengthening not just the affected area but also surrounding muscles, addressing imbalances and improving posture and mobility. She tailors each session to my specific needs and progress. She doesn't just prescribe exercises but explains the rationale behind each movement and its impact on my body. My lower back has improved tremendously since I started seeing her. I'm able to enjoy activities I thought I'd have to give up.

  • I am a physical therapist and business owner. It is vital to me to have trusted physical therapists that I can refer my patients to when they are traveling or relocating in case they need help. The quality of treatment among physical therapists can be vastly different and finding the best quality care is essential to me. Foundation Physical Therapy is the best place to go if you're in the Redwood City, CA area! They will give you the time required to actual listen to you and figure out the root cause of pain or injury. More importantly, this is a hands on clinic that will give you the necessary treatment and figure out the key most important exercises to be working on so you have the tools to help get better. If you're looking for someone who cares about getting rid of the pain, but also keeping it away I would recommend this group strongly.

  • If I could give Akanksha infinite stars, I absolutely would. She's brilliant at her craft, incredibly intuitive, and takes the time to deeply understand what you're going through. I genuinely look forward to every session, and each time I leave feeling more in control of my symptoms and confident that I'll continue to improve. I had been dealing with chronic headaches for over 9 months, and after seeing multiple doctors, acupuncturists, massage therapists and other PTs, Akanksha was the first to take a truly holistic approach to my symptoms. She not only identified the cause for my headaches (which many had struggled to do) but also helped me treat my body as an interconnected system. Her guidance on small, daily practices has been invaluable to my overall well-being-in fact, she helped me identify other areas where I can focus on improving my motion, balance, and strength as well. As someone who has had her fair share of interactions with the medical system over the last 15 years, I would say Akanksha is one of the BEST practitioners I have been fortunate enough to work with. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone I know.

  • I have been working with Akanksha for several months to recover from a running injury and I highly recommend her! She is very thorough and dedicated and takes the time to understand the problem in full. She helped me get back to being able to run again and set me up with exercises to reduce the chance of future injuries.
